The Stuart James Regal Queen mattress invites you to experience luxury on a new level. The Regal Queen boasts a deep medium comfort, with 2520 calico encased vanadium steel pocket springs and 3650grams per square metre of luxury layers which include pashmina and Peruvian white alpaca. A beautiful Belgian silk damask cover with 4 rows of genuine hand side stitching combined with a zonal edge spring system, will guarantee you a long-lasting comfort and a superior edge to edge support.

Calico Springs

TWO layers of 1260 calico encased vanadium steel springs create the initial support for the Regal Queen, 2520 springs in total within a 150cm king size mattress.  The Queen mattress can be all one tension with a medium or soft spring, or we offer the dual spring system. The dual spring system offers a bespoke comfort, allowing you to have different tensions on each side of the mattress. The split tension is a perfect solution for different weighted sleepers and for couples who have different sleeping preferences. Why compromise on comfort when you bespoke the Regal Queen to you.

Our springs are handmade in the U.K using vanadium steel, which is the highest-grade steel you can use for a spring. Vanadium steel prolongs the life of the springs and ensures they are more resilient, stronger and moisture resistant. Our vanadium steel springs are calico encased and are 100% cotton, even the thread. This allows the springs to offer a flexible, more durable and far more responsive support when compared to a standard polyprop pocket spring.

Luxury Layers

The Regal Queen has 3650GSM luxury layers of the most high-end luxury fillings on both sides of the mattress. This is made up of six layers including 1200g Laywool, 1200g Alpaca, 250g Pashmina and 1000g Wool / Cotton. A full detail of each layer is available below, we choose and test every layer to ensure it provides the correct feel and support. We guarantee that our spring system and luxury layers will provide a long-lasting support and comfort.

Handmade & Edge Support

Our Regal Mattresses are handmade in the U.K. Handcrafted using the finest natural  luxurious materials with a beautiful silk damask cover.  The hand side stitching is handcrafted, this  takes many years to perfect this skill and it takes over 3 hours to give our Regal Queen mattress four rows. The Hand side stitching not only creates additional edge support, but it is key to the longevity of your mattress. Our mattresses are hand tufted which is the hallmark of a quality mattress.

All our Regal mattresses have the ultimate edge to edge support due to the feature of a zonal edge spring system combined with four rows of genuine hand side stitching. Our calico springs are zoned at the edge of the mattress to provide you with a superior edge to edge support so you can enjoy the full sleeping width of your mattress.

Hand Tufting

All our Stuart James mattresses are handmade and hand tufted. Hand tufting is the sign of a quality, traditional mattress. It is an age on method by which layers in a mattress are held together and the process anchors the layers of filling by driving a long needle and tufting straps all the way through the mattress. The luxurious layers are pulled together through the springs and then are bound on each side of the mattress, extending the longevity and providing an overall better support.
